Transforming Nutrition in West Africa: Evidence for policy and programming
5th – 7th May 2021
Transform Nutrition West Africa, the UK’s Institute for Development Studies, the International Food Policy Research Institute and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are pleased to announce the fourth in our series of leadership development courses designed to strengthen nutrition leadership capabilities in individuals who work in multisectoral environments. The 3-day virtual course will take place in French from 5-7th of May 2021.
What will you learn?
This course guides participants through cutting-edge knowledge and evidence on nutrition globally. Using an interactive diagnostic approach, which will examine the drivers and consequences of malnutrition at multiple levels, and across the life course, you will learn to apply such knowledge to specific national or sub-national nutrition challenges and to identify strategic areas for nutrition action. The course is designed to provide a base from which you can develop your own future leadership for transformational change in nutrition.
Who should apply?
Individuals who are passionate and are interested in strengthening their leadership skills and work within the broader multisectoral nutrition environment are encouraged to apply. The typical candidate will be in a position to make an impact in nutrition though might come from any related sector (including e.g. agriculture or health). The candidate will have some work experience and be serious about their self-development and growth and the impact they have. She/he will be working in one of the ECOWAS countries and be passionate about what they do. This course will be offered in French, therefore candidates should be fluent in French. Understanding of English is a plus, but not necessary.
